Fair Choice!

Can you imagine a world where each of us is free to choose between how much insulation and how much participation we want? Can you imagine a world where privilege and power are not the same thing? Can you imagine a world where we can all take responsibility for what we do and don't have? Can you imagine a government system designed to resist corruption?

We can. We're the Democratic Empowerment Party, and we're about to change the world as you know it!

You Chose Wealth!

So, you like to work hard, and play hard. You're not afraid to apply yourself and you really enjoy being challenged. There is nothing quite like the feeling of success, and anyone who puts in the time and effort ought to be rewarded. When someone says: "We need to show more respect for the people who work hard, and make sure that everyone is encouraged and provided with opportunity to prosper. That's what makes our world great!" - you couldn't agree more!

What you dislike is when your abilities are restricted, when your efforts are not recognized and when you're not compensated fairly for your work. When you hear about some societies which are stagnating and where people are unemployed, you shake your head at the waste of it all. People need to keep busy and productive, there's nothing like the satisfaction of a nice paycheck for a job well done.

The reason that you like vote sizing is because it gives people, poor people, the chance to organize themselves and live their lives without needing handouts from the wealthy. They had better learn, because they know that if they make things harder for you and deposes you of your wealth, then come next election they had better watch out! But that doesn't happen, and instead what you encounter are more and more happy, humble, people both producing and demanding better goods and services. They're very effective at reducing crime, poverty, and violence (since it effects them the most) and it's a whole lot safer for you to go places and do things. Who knows, maybe one day you'll trade in your car for a bicycle or bus pass? As you walk by a poor person on the street you greet them with a smile and the satisfaction knowing that you can both share the day; and the joy knowing that the DEP has made you even freer to pursue your goals.

You Chose Power!

There's more to life for you than just money. Sure you want to have security and feel belonging; but you don't believe that that's necessarily what the big business corporate world is ready to provide. Love, for you, is what makes the world go round; and for that we all need a healthy environment and we need to protect ourselves from people who would take advantage of others. That nurturing role is the role that government ought to play, and it precedes the work ethics always being pushed down on the population from the elite. Heck, you would never want to end up like them.

What makes your day is just a little levity, joy, and feeling of power over yourself. More than just the product of your work is the way the activity itself contributes to society. There's enough bad karma floating around and you'll do everything you can to avoid it landing on you. Sometimes when you look around at the world you wonder why this voice of reason, this expression of humanity, is not spoken or heard enough; and you don't know what to do. Silence is like poison, and there's a strong will in you to find and express truth in whatever you do. Unity and cohesion makes you happy, and you'll easily lend a helping hand to a fellow soul without even thinking of what it might "cost".

You are a big fan of the DEP for obvious reasons. With your weighted vote you are able to install a proper, fair, and just government which promotes your values just as strong as those of the wealthy elite. You feel secure knowing that you have control over your actions, are enthusiastic about the government, and educate yourself because you now know that your vote counts. You smile proudly at the rich person you pass on the street; because with them keeping the economy alive there's lots of things being produced and happening, because you aren't threatened by their influence, and also - you realize - because they don't even know what they're missing.
