Page / Article / Text In order to talk about what’s wrong with our world and how we can go about fixing
it, we’ll need to make some pretty huge generalizations. Although hopefully these
accurately describe what motivates people and why they behave the way they do, we
also want to take the time here to point out that: Yes, we know that there
are people who do not fit our definitions.
It is just as wrong to assume that all wealthy people are greedy as it is to
assume that all poorer people are uneducated or lazy. Poorer people, when voted
into office, can also turn out just as corrupt as their wealthy competitors. And
although the underlying principle of being poor means increased contact with the
consequences of actions - it doesn't follow that all poor people are responsible;
nor that all wealthy people have lost touch with reality.
But as this website is about describing the major trends shaping our world,
and changing them, we’re just going to have to make some generalizations.
Hopefully the discussion will not align people against each other, but by acknowledging
differences, allow us all to appreciate our differences, choose fairly, and join
together.
